What is a Soul Urge Number?
The Soul Urge Number, also known as the Heart's Desire Number, is a numerology concept that reveals your heart's and soul's deepest desires. It indicates your aspirations, dreams, and what motivates you internally. This number plays a significant role in decision-making and influences your behavior in relationships. Making decisions comes naturally when your Soul Urge Number aligns with your Life Path Number. However, if there is a discrepancy between them, you may struggle with making choices, feeling torn between your emotions and logic. If your Soul Urge Number and Life Path Number match, you will easily express your true self.
To calculate your Soul Urge Number, follow these steps:
Write your full birth name (including middle names) in a single line, like this: SATISHBPAVASIYA
Identify all the vowels in your name.
Assign each vowel its corresponding numerology number:
A = 1
U = 3
E = 5
O = 6
I = 1
Y = 7 (only when it functions as a vowel) Note that 'y' sometimes acts as a consonant and does not need to be counted as a vowel. You can consult the Merriam-Webster dictionary to determine when 'y' functions as a vowel.
Add up the numerology numbers of all the vowels in your name.
For example 1+1+1+1+1+1 = 6 (for SATISHBPAVASIYA)
Reduce the total to a single digit.
Continue adding up the digits until you arrive at a single digit. In the example above, 6 = 6. This means that the Soul Urge Number for SATISHBPAVASIYA is 6. Please note that with the exception of master numbers 11, 22, and 33, your Soul Urge Number will always be a single digit. Additionally, there is no Soul Urge Number 10; it would need to be reduced to a single digit (1+0 = 1).
